How to recognize scammers

  • They ask for confidential information such as card numbers, PIN or One Time Password (OTP).
  • They claim that you have won a lottery or your dear one is sick and request you to urgently provide your banking details.
  • They urge you to click on a link or reply with information (password reset, bank account details, debit/credit card number)
  • Very often the text contains grammatical mistakes.

How to protect yourself

  • Do not reply to unknown/suspicious emails and/or unknown calls or SMS.
  • Do not open an attachment unless it is legitimate, safe and from a known sender.
  • Do not click on links to claim for a prize or lottery.
  • Never provide personal information over the phone, via SMS, social media platforms or by email even if the person claims to be a bank staff.
