DIRECT DEBIT
It is understood that:
The Bank is not bound to send me/us a direct debit advice when making payment.
In the event of any dispute arising in connection with an amount payable, I/we shall settle the matter directly with THE BILLER (THE MAURITIUS TELECOM LTD or CENTRAL ELECTRICITY BOARD or CENTRAL WATER AUTHORITY).
In case of non-payment of the bills due to lack of funds on my/our account, the bank has the right to charge a penalty fee to my/our account in line with the bank's tariff of charges and cancel this authority at any time without advising me/us.
The Bank will not be responsible for any overpayment effected on my/our behalf or any charges claimed by THE BILLER (THE MAURITIUS TELECOM LTD or CENTRAL ELECTRICITY BOARD or CENTRAL WATER AUTHORITY).
The Bank shall not be liable for any prejudice which may be caused to me/us in the event of the Bank failing to execute the present request when so called by THE BILLER (THE MAURITIUS TELECOM LTD or CENTRAL ELECTRICITY BOARD or CENTRAL WATER AUTHORITY) for any cause or reason whatsoever.
The Bank reserves the right to discontinue the Direct Debit service without having to assign any reason to me/us and without necessity of any notification whatsoever to me/us.
All relative charges/commissions for Direct Debit will be charged in line with the bank's tariff of charges.
To submit a recent Bill of the Biller (THE MAURITIUS TELECOM LTD or CENTRAL ELECTRICITY BOARD or CENTRAL WATER AUTHORITY).
The Bank reserves the right to review the terms and conditions of the Direct Debit service at any time in the future. The payment order shall:
Be accepted by the Bank upon verification of authorized signature(s) of the Bank account.
Be executed only if the account mentioned has sufficient available funds to cover the bill amount and the commission.
Be carried out upon receipt by the Bank of the relative instructions from THE BILLER (THE MAURITIUS TELECOM LTD or CENTRAL ELECTRICITY BOARD or CENTRAL WATER AUTHORITY) advising of the amount payable.
Remain in force until further notice from me/us or until discontinued by the Bank.
